2026 Faculty Teaching and Learning Conference
Bridging Minds and Practice – Intentional Teaching to Shape Confident Clinicians
Addison Academics is pleased to accept abstract submissions for posters and podium presentations.
This year's theme underscores the critical importance of deliberate program design and instructional strategies in fostering clinical judgment, decision-making, and client-centered care in nursing education. Recognizing the vital role we play in shaping the future of healthcare, especially through our partnerships with residency programs and postgraduate practices that reinforce ongoing clinical judgment, we aim to explore how intentional teaching can effectively bridge the gap between theory and practice.
By intentionally designing educational experiences that emphasize critical thinking and practical
application, we can contribute to transforming healthcare and ensuring the delivery of high quality compassionate care. We invite you to submit proposals for presentations, workshops, and panel discussions that align with the conference theme. Share your experiences, insights, and innovative approaches that have successfully promoted clinical judgment, critical thinking, and client-centered care. Together, let us inspire and empower each other to create meaningful change in our teaching practices and ultimately shape confident, proficient clinicians.

The conference will take place on June 29 & 30, 2026 at TCC College Campus - Trinity River Campus 300 Trinity Campus Circle Forth Worth, TX 76102

During this conference, we will highlight innovative strategies, best practices, and evidence-based approaches that can be integrated into program design and instruction to empower students and novice nurses to think critically, make sound clinical decisions, and deliver compassionate, client centered care.
